Troop 638 is excited to participate this year’s Alonzo Stagg Hike, building on last year’s fantastic success! Scouts can choose to hike 10, 20, 25, or 50 miles through Arlington and the C&O Canal. Sign up for the hike here.

Parents and non-hikers are invited to support by running the aid station at Fletcher's Boat House. It’s a great day for adventure, teamwork, and enjoying the great outdoors. Sign up to volunteer.

Join us for an exhilarating adventure in Sandy Springs, where scouts will experience the thrill of rock climbing in a supportive and fun environment. Whether you're new to climbing or have some experience, this trip offers something for everyone to challenge themselves and build confidence.

Non-Philmont attending scouts will work on advancement and eat lunch at Wheaton Regional Park from 10 AM - 1 PM, then drive to Sandy Springs Adventure Park to set up camp and do more scouting activities.

Scouts preparing for Philmont will hike the ~5 miles between the parks.
Then at 4 PM, we will all take on the awesome Adventure Course!

The night will end with a campout, and we’ll head home on Sunday.

Join Us for an Unforgettable Summer Camp at Camp Sinoquipe!

📅 Dates: June 29 – July 5
📍 Location: Camp Sinoquipe, Pennsylvania (Just over 2 hours from D.C.)

Summer camp is one of the biggest highlights of the scouting year! It’s an incredible opportunity for Scouts to work on advancements, develop new skills, and create lasting memories while bonding with their troop. From outdoor adventures to campfire stories, this week is packed with fun and growth.

Parents, you’re welcome to join for part or all of the week! Experience the outdoors with some added comforts—elevated bunks in large tents with wooden floors, an air-conditioned dining hall (no Scout-cooked meals!), and warm showers. Plus, for those who need to stay connected, the leaders' lounge has good internet access. With the 4th of July holiday, this is a great way to enjoy camp with minimal impact on work schedules.

Due to availability changes, our troop will be attending camp a week later than originally planned. However, if your family already has commitments during this time, an alternative option is available! Scouts can attend Seven Ranges in Ohio from June 22-29 on a provisional basis.

📢 Sign up now and don’t miss out on this incredible summer adventure!
